This
is one of the best as well as one of the toughest products
of the champion Coktail Jet 1'10 that we have
ever known, .
Due
to several health problems when he was 2, Coktail Jet
1'10, had to delay his debut in competitions. However,
very soon everybody knew who he was. He pulled himself
up to the elite of his class by the time his fourth year
started. Next, he confirmed his potential, winning the
Prix d'Europe in Milan, finishing 3rd at the Prix René
Ballière, before winning the Criterium for 5-year-olds,
the Prix de l'Etoile, d'Amérique, de France and the Elitloppet
in Sweden at the end of a remarkable homestretch.
Coktail Jet,
grand-son of the crack Fakir du Vivier 1’14 by
his father to an American dam, who was born of the great
champion Super Bowl 1'12, last winner of the American
Triple Crown (Hambletonian, Kentucky Futurity, Yonkers
Trot) has very quickly become an outstanding stallion.
Coktail Jet
has quickly established himself as one of our best sires
(finishing 8th in last year's stallion standings with
his 4-, 3- and 2-year-olds, and 1st in the standing
for 3- and 4-year-olds, 1st also for 3- and 2-year-olds).
He produced Précoce, after he has already given,
besides Jain de Béval 1'15, Ivory Pearl
1'12, lsland Dream 1’13, In Love With You 1’15, In Foot 1’13, Jeanne's Fella 1’15, Jam
Pricleu 1’13, who all distinguished themselves in
classics and semi-classics, without taking into account
the many winners at Vincennes.
Touta
1’15 (a3v) 1'21 (m) (born of the best sire of dams
Képi Vert), dam of Jain de Béval 1’15, was
also a classic size at 3, dominating the mounted races
in the Prix d'Essai and Hémine, placing 2nd at Saint-Léger
des Trotteurs and 4th at Prix de Vincennes. In addition,
this very swift nervous mare, with a small gait, finished
3rd at Prix Kalmia in a trotting race.
Before Jain de
Béval 1’15, his first male offspring, he also produced
the fast Lossie 1’14 (a3), top winner at Vincennes,
semi-classic at 3, who, however, handicapped by health
problems, retired soon to stud.
Leila 1'25
(m), granddam of Jain de Beval, did well at stud
foaling many winners, such as Saf saf 1’19 (m3v),
3rd Prix d'Essai, mounted classic at 3, Un Kif
1’14 (own brother of Touta), stallion, semi-classic
at 3 (1st Prix Edouard Marcillac), Almazim 1’17
(2nd Prix Cauchois at 2), who died prematurely, Djerba
1'21 (m3v), and Habib 1’16, two other winners
in Paris.
Dauphine II
1'24 (m4v), 3rd dam of the winner of Critérium for 3-year-olds,
won the race under saddle at Vincennes before producing
Mabrouka 1’18,classic, winner of Prix de Vincennes,
Hémine, d'Essai, 2nd Prix Capucine, 3rd Prix du Président
de la République (who foaled Thar Mabrouck 1'20
(m), 2nd Prix d'Essai, and Hammamet 1’15 semi-classic
at 3).
This
maternal line is that of the world champion Rêve
d'Udon 1’12 (Prix de Cornulier, Criterium for 5-year-olds,
2nd Prix d'Amérique) who asserted himself as sire.
Mention should be made that Jain de Beval is
inbred to the chefs de race Kerjacques (5x4),
Fandango (5x5x5) and Carioca II (5x6),
including the exceptional stallion Ogaden (5x5),
whose pedigree is of one-quarter American blood.
